Dr. Eugene M. Azuma, DDS received his Bachelor of Arts in Zoology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa before pursuing his Professional Diploma in Secondary Education Specializing in Biology and Marine Science. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington, DC.
In 1990, Dr. Azuma established Eugene M. Azuma, DDS, his family-oriented dental practice in Honolulu, HI. What started off as a small, two-operatory office later evolved into a technologically advanced dental practice in 1995. We utilize digital xrays, 3D conebeam radiography and dental Lasers for the Nightlase procedure.
Dr. Eugene M. Azuma, DDS is a specialist in sleep apnea treatment and dental sleep medicine. In 2016, Dr. Azuma, along with his colleagues, established Hawaii Dental Sleep Medicine, LLC.
Additionally, Dr. Azuma is a member of the American Dental Associations, Honolulu County Dental Society, Diplomat of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy, Cerec Study club, Leeward Prosthetics Study club, and the Hawaii Sleep Society.
In his free time, Dr. Azuma enjoys fishing, gardening, body boarding, playing soccer, and spending time with his family.
Lance I. Teramoto, DDS
Dr. Lance Teramoto has dedicated over 30 years to providing personalized dental care, focusing on the health and comfort of his patients. With a passion for Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, he continually enhances his expertise through ongoing education in general and cosmetic dentistry.
After completing his dentistry studies in Washington D.C. and returning to his native Honolulu, Dr. Teramoto has committed to staying at the forefront of dental practices by attending seminars and specialized training, notably at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.
A respected member of various dental associations and a founding partner of Hawaii Dental Sleep Medicine, LLC, Dr. Teramoto values continuous learning to deliver the highest level of care. Outside his professional life, he enjoys family time, coaching baseball, golf, and collecting baseball memorabilia.
DR. Claude Tamura, DDS
Dr. Tamura was born and raised in Hawaii. A true believer in “old fashion” values and building lasting relationships. Dr. Tamura is warm, friendly and compassionate.
A graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry and the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. Dr. Tamura has been providing dental care in Hawaii for 25 years. Every year he takes numerous classes of continuing education to stay abreast of the many changes in dentistry.
Dr. Tamura does not only concentrate on a person’s dental condition but focuses on the patient’s overall health. Thus with the increasing importance of sleep to a person’s health and wellbeing Dr. Tamura and 2 of his colleagues founded Hawaii Dental Sleep Medicine, LLC. in 2016.
Dr. Tamura is a member of the American Dental Association, Hawaii Dental Association, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Hawaii Sleep society and Leeward Prosthetic Study Club.
